30th October our Crafties held a Crafts Sale at the Methodist Church where they raised £317.77 with funds going to both the Church's 30 Years On" project and Crafties' funds for future training and materials. |

Sunday 15th June we, along with Monks Brook and Eastleigh u3as, attended the annual Eastleigh Community Showcase where local community groups could inform visitors and other exhibitors about what they offer to people in the community. |

Easter saw the busy Crafties and Toppers Ladies making and installing Easter Toppers across the community's post boxes. |

The minister at the Methodist Church, Rev. Ruth Fry introduced our Crafties to the art of Lino Cut at the February meeting. |

The January 2025 meeting of our Crafties group covered leather-working, in particular the making of leather purses. There were some brilliant results, with a few husbands and familiy members also benefitting. |

In December we learned that our contributions to the Methodist Church' 30 Years On project had exceeded £600, well done all. |

December saw our Out & About group pay a visit to Hever Castle in Kent which was home back in the day of the Boleyn family, including Anne Boleyn. After lunch they were treated to a Christmas light show. |

During the November committee meeting it was decided that our Membership fees will remain at 2023/24 levels, so £14.00 per person or £10,00 if a member of another u3a.

In September, our Out & About group visited Marble Hill in Twickenham then crossed the Thames on a Hammerton's ferry to visit Ham House in Richmond. |

Following our July meeting we noticed that the figure raised so far for the Church's "30 Years On" project from the voluntary donations in the Dovetail had reached a total of £250. Well done and thanks. |

Sunday 28th July saw Dave Claxton (Chair) and his wife Sandra (Newsletter Editor) install a special Topper in Newtown (Eastleigh) then accompany the Mayor, Cllr. Dave Pragnell and others on a walk around the Newtown Project of clearing and planting rough ground and encouraging swifts back to nest in the area. |

Following on from the Mayor of Eastleigh's involvement launching our 25th Anniversary by helping to install the first two of 27 post-box toppers, we were asked to produce a special 50th Anniversary Topper for Eastleigh Borough Council which was installed on the evening of 20th May by the new Mayor, Cllr. Dave Pragnell. Here we see the new Mayor with Debby Bartlett, Lyn Atkins, Pam Moffat and Dave Claxton with the topper installed. |

Our 2024 AGM on Monday 20th May where in the following committee meeting Dave Claxton and Pam Moffat were confirmed as Chair and Vice-Chair respectively. Bridget Hignett was appointed Business Secretary and Paul Day as our new Treasurer. |
